Sony recently filed a patent describing technology for adjusting difficulty levels in real-time games.
So-called “Adaptive Difficulty Calibration for Skill-Based Actions” , in virtual environments” uses a specific set of algorithms that monitor how and how quickly the player copes with assigned tasks and understands mechanics. Analyzing the user's actions, the game will increase or simplify the complexity, maintaining a high level of involvement.
Such algorithms will make the passage of the game unique for each user.
