Social network X (formerly Twitter) begins hiding all user “likes”

The “Like” tab in user profiles will disappear

The team of the social network  X (formerly Twitter) begins to automatically hide «likes» users. The innovation was confirmed by X owner Elon Musk, saying: «It is important to allow people to like posts without being attacked for it!».

Function «private likes» was available to paid X Premium users and will now be available to everyone. This way, users «will be able to like content without worrying about who can see it».  Tab «Like» will disappear in user profiles. 

Last month, Haofei Wang, X's chief technology officer, said the upcoming changes were meant to protect users' public image:

Yes, we keep likes private. Public likes encourage bad behavior.
