The new model will become the “younger brother” of the Enyaq

Skoda announced a big event for March 15th, which will be broadcast online. The company will talk in detail about its performance results in 2023 and plans for the future, and the most important thing in these plans — launch of a new electric crossover on the market: its prototype was shown on a teaser.

Skoda simply calls the car a «future electric model». There is no name, the characteristics are kept secret. However, it is known that this will be a compact crossover similar in size to the Karoq. Accordingly, it will become the younger brother of the current Enyaq electric crossover. What platform will form the basis of the new product — unclear. This could be MEB, which is used in both Enyaq and Volkswagen ID. 4, ID. 5 and ID. 6, as well as the Audi Q4 e-tron and Q5 e-tron. But there may be something new: Volkswagen previously announced cooperation with Chinese companies.
