Two models will be released initially

Cars of the Iranian company SAIPA successfully passed all the necessary tests in Russia and received vehicle type approval (VTA), as reported by a representative of the official distributor of SAIPA in Russia, the company «Lucky Carency». Upon receipt of this document, cars of the brand can go on sale on the Russian market.

Initially, two SAIPA models will appear on the market. The first of them will be the Quik cross-hatch with a 1.5-liter petrol engine producing 87 hp. Options with a five-speed gearbox and a CVT will initially be available to Russian consumers. Prices for Quik in Russia have not yet been announced, but in August the cost was announced from 1.5 to 1.6 million rubles.

The second model will be the Saina S sedan, built on the same platform as the Quik. The powertrain is also similar to the previous model. Buyers will be able to choose between a manual transmission and a CVT. Saina is expected to be the most affordable SAIPA model in Russia with a price of about 1.22 million rubles.

The premiere of the Shahin sedan, built on the Toyota B platform, is still in doubt. Representatives of «Lucky Carenc» claim that the main reason is «too high cost» this model. The cost of Shahin in August with a manual transmission was estimated at 2.05 million rubles. The sedan is also equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine producing 110 hp. and torque 178 N·m.

«Lucky Carency» promises that next year the production of Iranian cars will be established at the Belarusian plant «Unison», while a signed agreement for assembly already exists.
