According to Interfax, Great Wall Motor has commissioned a Russian plant for the production of engines for Haval crossovers and SUVs. The enterprise occupies an area of more than 10 thousand m2.
The plant produces engines with a volume of 1.5 and 2 liters, and the younger engine is a priority, since it is equipped with the Haval Jolion — the most popular car of the brand in Russia. In the future, the new plant will provide engines for 90% of Russian Haval cars. At the moment, engine pistons have been localized, in it is planned to deepen localization.
«The planned production capacity of the new enterprise is more than 100 thousand units per year. This complex is the next stage in the implementation of obligations in the field of vehicle localization.
