300 billion rubles were allocated for these purposes from the National Welfare Fund

As reported by Kommersant, 300 billion rubles allocated for 2023 from the National Welfare Fund for the purchase of Boeing and Airbus airliners from foreign leasing companies are almost exhausted.

Most of this amount — about 250 billion rubles — went to buy planes for the Aeroflot group. At the end of the year, S7 Airlines also announced the purchase of 45 aircraft, and Ural Airlines purchased another 19 aircraft.

The cost of the aircraft purchased by S7 Airlines is estimated at 45-50 billion rubles, of which 34 billion rubles — the company's own funds. The cost of planes «Ural Airlines» — about 30 billion rubles, of which the company paid 13.5 billion rubles from its net profit. According to Kommersant, S7 Airlines and Ural Airlines received aircraft on a financial lease for 15 years, upon completion of which the airliners will become the property of the airlines.
