Senior Vice President for Information Technology of Rostelecom Darius Khalitov said that the new, sixth version of the operating system «Aurora» is already in development. Let us remind you that yesterday the developer of «Aurora» — company «Open Mobile Platform» — stated that devices from Russian manufacturers based on the fifth version of the OS will go on sale from May 27, 2024.
According to Khalitov, new versions of the Russian platform are planned to be released every one and a half to two years. He mentioned this on the sidelines of the CIPR-2024 conference, which is currently taking place in Nizhny Novgorod. Khalitov also said that in the fifth version of the OS «Aurora». appeared its own Internet browser on the Chromium engine.
