New Intel processors will receive a maximum of four large cores without Hyper-Threading and four small ones, which will also be limited. New data about Lunar Lake has emerged

But the iGPU promises to be powerful

Despite the fact that the release of Intel Lunar Lake processors is still quite far away, there is more and more information about them on the Internet. New data has revealed the maximum configuration that will be possible in this line.

So, the top Lunar Lake processor will have four large cores and four small ones, which we knew about earlier. Only insider Golden Pig Update says that we are not talking about ordinary small cores, but about LP-E cores. Let us recall that two such cores are available in the SoC chiplet of Meteor Lake processors. There they complement the eight regular small cores, and Lunar Lake will only have LP-E. This was clearly done for additional energy efficiency, but how it will affect performance is still unclear.

iGPU for new processors will be new. This will be the core of the Battlemage generation. The maximum you can count on, — that's eight Xe cores. And the first leaks already show a significant increase in Meteor Lake relative to iGPU.

The new Intel CPUs will receive RAM soldered on a common substrate with the processor. This will be LPDDR5X-8533 memory with a capacity of up to 32 GB. We have already heard that the minimum volume will be 16 GB. In addition, the new CPUs will have a TDP of 17-30 W, but here it is worth remembering the talk about 9-watt Lunar Lake. So perhaps 17–30 W will be the range for top-end CPUs, and low-end ones will be able to operate at significantly lower power consumption.

Lunar Lake processors should appear at the very end of this year, but in limited quantities, as was the case with Meteor Lake. They will become widespread in 2025.

The Golden Pig Upgrade Pack insider once shared performance leaks of Intel CPUs of different generations and published Intel slides describing the Meteor Lake CPU.
