Yesterday Nvidia released the GeForce RTX 3050 6GB video card, which is significantly cut down compared to the regular version. It turned out that the new product is slower than the full-fledged card by a considerable 20%.
If you count backwards, this means that the full version is about 25% faster, but in fact the difference, depending on the test, is 26-32%. True, there are still very few tests themselves.
Tests show that the real GPU frequency of the new version reaches approximately 1620 MHz, while the regular RTX 3050 is more than 1900 MHz. But the new product actually consumes very little energy: about 70 W versus 130 W for the regular version. That is, consumption corresponds to the declared TDP.
We'll have to wait for more extensive tests to understand how the RTX 3050 6GB compares to other video cards in this price segment. Let us remind you that for a new product they are asking from 180 dollars/euro.
