Monster Hunter Wilds makes the most of consoles and PCs

Capcom has revealed several new details about Monster Hunter Wilds, saying that the new entry in the series will push hardware to the limit and offer fans a more vibrant and content-rich gaming world.

The new role-playing game promises to significantly improve the series formula, placing special emphasis on the presence of an entire series of ecosystems with their own believable lives.

After the new trailer was shown on Summer Game Fest 2024 game director Yuya Tokuda stated in an interview that, as with World, the main goal with Monster Hunter Wilds was to “get the most out of the hardware of the platforms the game will appear on in a few months, so that players can immerse themselves in” a living, breathing world.”

“To be honest, it was always clear to me that this was the direction I wanted to take. Any Monster Hunter game that I direct will always focus on the ecosystem element. As the generations of hardware we run on become more powerful, I want to make the most of the technical specifications to portray a living, breathing world as convincingly as possible.”
