Insider data from Auto Mail.ru

Lada Granta, following the Lada Vesta NG, will receive a CVT from the Chinese company WLY in 2024, as reported by Auto Mail.ru with reference to its sources at AvtoVAZ.

The automatic transmission that will be used in the Granta is a copy of the unit that is installed in the Lada Vesta NG. However, if Vesta received a 122-horsepower 1.8 Evo engine, then in Granta the CVT will work with a 16-valve 1.6-liter engine with a power of 98 hp

Until April 9, Lada Granta was equipped with a manual 5-speed gearbox, and now a version with a Jatco automatic gearbox from AvtoVAZ’s stocks has appeared in the lineup. In total, about 5 thousand cars with such transmissions will be produced. Their assembly is already progressing steadily.

For the WLY CVT18 variator for Russia, in order to ensure greater reliability, the oil volume was increased to 7.2 liters. Lubricant replacement is provided after the first 30 thousand km.
