Chinese products may appear under the guise of Belarusian ones
The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade has developed legislative changes that will make it possible to equate Belarusian components, parts, units, materials and raw materials in status to Russian ones. This will expand opportunities for localizing complex industrial products, including cars.
It is proposed to amend the Government of the Russian Federation Resolution No. 719 of July 17, 2015, equating the examination certificates issued by the authorized bodies of Belarus to documents on the production of a component issued by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.
In addition, to recognize products as Russian, a criterion is proposed for the completion of at least 20% of the total number of production and technological operations on the territory of the Russian Federation, which will allow the use of joint developments in domestic products.
However, according to a source in one of the electronics manufacturing companies, the change could lead to products from China entering the Russian market under the guise of Belarusian ones due to an insufficient level of verification of information about the origin of materials and components.  ;
The amendments are still at the stage of public discussion.
Earlier it became known that Belarusian microelectronics began to be equated with Russian ones.
