Intel praises its technical processes, but the new Lunar Lake CPUs will be produced entirely at TSMC facilities

Details about small Lunar Lake cores have also appeared

Intel has revealed some details about the small cores of Lunar Lake processors.

Lunar Lake are expected towards the end of the year. From the very beginning, these processors were created with an emphasis on maximum energy efficiency, so a lot of attention was paid to small cores.

They are based on the Skymont architecture. Intel itself says that the new cores are faster than Cresmont in Meteor Lake processors in terms of IPC by double digits. This is quite a lot, considering that the Cresmont cores themselves were 4% faster than Gracemont.

Apparently, the small cores in Lunar Lake processors (they will also be in Arrow Lake) will be close in performance to the large cores that were relevant just a few years ago. By the way, the SoC tile does not have small cores, like Meteor Lake.
