Geely's response to the price war started by BYD
Geely has launched a new version of the Binrui sedan on the Chinese market. The car, called the Binrui COOL Dragon Edition, turned out to be much more affordable than previous options: the first buyers will get the car for only $9,990. And it makes sense to hurry up with the purchase, because then the cost will increase by $1,700.
Geely Binrui COOL Dragon Edition — This is a mid-size sedan with dimensions of 4710 x 1795 x 1455 mm and a wheelbase length of 2670 mm. It does not differ from previous versions in terms of design, except that there are more darkened elements.
But the equipment is rich. With a price formally below 10 thousand dollars, the car has a digital dashboard with a 10-inch screen, a media system with a 12.3-inch diagonal screen, an all-round viewing system, four airbags, climate control, leather interior, electrically adjustable driver's seat, sunroof.
Under the hood there is a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a power of 181 hp, it is combined with a 7-speed «robot» with two «wet» clutches. The car accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds. As for the suspension, McPherson struts are installed at the front, and at the rear — torsion beam.
