The company tried to organize the assembly of Lada X-Cross 5, but nothing came of it
Loss of the enterprise «Avtozavod St. Petersburg» (now this is the name of the former Russian Nissan plant) for 2023 amounted to 13.7 billion rubles, as reported by the publication «Business Petersburg». For comparison, in 2022 the company’s losses amounted to 6 billion rubles. For 2023, losses more than doubled, and revenue decreased by 90%.
We recall that last year the enterprise, which came under the control of AvtoVAZ, was supposed to begin production of the Lada X-Cross 5 (FAW Bestune T77) crossovers, but nothing came of it. Now the company produces Xcite X-Cross 7 (Chery Tiggo 7 Pro) crossovers; they plan to assemble 25 thousand cars by the end of the year. Sales of Xcite X-Cross 7 are expected to start in early April.
