The cuts are part of Riot Forge's strategy to continue operations. The laid-off workers weren’t doing anything important anyway
Riot Forge joined the trend of laying off workers. According to the management of the British independent studio, layoffs are necessary to “continue to operate in an ever-changing market”.
The studio no longer needs the skills of the “small number of people” whose contracts “ended earlier than expected”.
Radical Forge helped with the development of Sea of Thieves and in general often works as a support studio for a more experienced and well-known team. Radical Forge's portfolio includes Gang Beasts, the console version of Rust and Zombie Army 4.
