Chevrolet has unveiled the 2025 Chevrolet Spin, which features updated looks, modern technology and new chassis tuning.
Original Chevrolet Spin — a crossover minivan developed in Brazil based on the discontinued Cobalt — released in 2012. The model was updated in 2018. The 2025 model year car represents the «biggest evolutionary leap», according to the manufacturer.
Modern technologies have been added to the cabin, including a digital instrument cluster that is visually linked to a new 11-inch touch screen. The latter will integrate the Chevrolet MyLink multimedia system, offer OnStar, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The system will support over-the-air updates. The company said Spin will offer «the most comprehensive suite of security features» in the segment. Like its predecessor, the new Spin will be available in five-seat and seven-seat configurations.
Chevrolet engineers modified the suspension, raising it slightly. They also changed the transmission and steering calibrations in an effort to improve precision and efficiency. Specifications will be announced later, but local media speculate that the existing 1.8-liter four-cylinder flex-fuel powerplant will remain in the new car.
The 2025 Chevrolet Spin will make its official debut at Big Brother in late March. The updated crossover minivan will be one of six major launches planned by Chevrolet Brazil for 2024. In addition to the Brazilian market, Spin is also available in Argentina, the Philippines and Thailand.
