These are small cars of class L7 and M1
Head of the holding «Avtotor» Valery Gorbunov, in an interview with RIA Novosti, confirmed his readiness to begin production of electric vehicles next year.
Work on creating our own electric car is on schedule. It is created on the basis of a technology-independent platform and assumes high (more than 90%) localization. Most of the components, including critical ones, will be produced at new plants that Avtotor is creating. We are preparing to present pilot copies this year, and plan to begin industrial production in 2025.

As the editor-in-chief of «Behind the wheel» magazine said Maxim Kadakov, these are electric vehicles of class L7 (quadricycles, up to 400 kg), which will be produced in different versions – passenger (2 or 4 seats) and light delivery. The plastic parts of the body are attached to the frame. The same technology can be used for larger vehicles of class M1 (passenger cars) and N1 (trucks) with a length of up to 3.4 meters (about the size of the Oka). Electric cars will produce floors under the Amber brand.
Previously «Avtotor» stated that the price of a class L7 car could be about 1 million rubles, and the M1 was supposed to cost up to 1.5 million rubles. But that was before the exchange rate fell.
