The maximum range of this inexpensive electric vehicle reaches 400 km
Chinese BYD, which recently tried on the crown of the world's largest electric vehicle manufacturer, has begun shipping the latest BYD Yuan UP crossover to dealers in China. This model, built on the e-Platform 3.0 platform and belonging to the Dynasty line, will be an analogue of the Hyundai Kona EV: they have similar dimensions and characteristics. Only BYD Yuan UP is cheaper: estimated price – only 14 thousand dollars.
The dimensions of the BYD Yuan UP are 4310 x 1830 x 1675 mm with a wheelbase of 2620 mm. The car is equipped with two engine options – 95 and 177 hp There are also two options for the capacity of the traction battery: 32 and 45.1 kW·h, the range is, respectively, 300 or 400 km on one charge. The front suspension uses MacPherson struts, but the rear has a torsion beam.
The car received a digital dashboard with an 8.8-inch diagonal screen, a media system with a 12.8-inch diagonal screen, a head-up display (which is not entirely typical for cars in this price category), a leather interior, electrically adjustable front seats, wireless charging for a smartphone, a keyless entry, panoramic roof.
Since dealers have already received the cars, they should soon announce the start of sales, and then prices for all trim levels will be announced.
