Jetour T2 is more spacious than the Tank 300 and does not have the disadvantages of a frame car
In Russia they started accepting orders for the Jetour T2 SUV (aka Chery/Jetour Traveler in China). There are no prices yet, but the main characteristics have been revealed.
Jetour T2 will receive a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with direct injection (2.0TGDI) producing 245 hp. The body is promised to be strong – with a share of high-strength steels of 80% and a torsional rigidity of the body of 31,000 N·m. In China, this car has already proven its strength in a severe accident.
Jetour T2 will receive «fully automatic intelligent all-wheel drive XWD». It is implemented using the sixth generation BorgWarner clutch (with differential lock). A similar all-wheel drive is used in the Tank 300 City. And in terms of geometric cross-country ability there will be no special differences from the Tank 300: the minimum ground clearance of the Jetour T2 – 220 mm, approach and departure angles – at 28°, the depth of the ford – 70 cm. Dimensions of the SUV – 4785 x 2006 x 1880 mm, wheelbase length – 2800 mm.
Equipped with the Russian Jetour T2 – media system based on SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 with a 15.6-inch screen, heated and ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control with ionizer, multifunction steering wheel, digital instrument panel, large panoramic roof.
