MSI has launched the Thunder Shadow 17 laptop, aimed at gamers, to the home market. Unlike most models introduced since early January, this model received a new 16-core and 32-thread Ryzen 9 7940HX processor with a frequency of up to 5.2 GHz instead of the Core i9-14900H. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop accelerator is responsible for graphics processing.
MSI Thunder Shadow 17 has a 17-inch screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, a frame rate of 240 Hz and coverage of 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. The amount of DDR5 RAM was 16 GB, the amount of SSD – 1 TB.
Battery capacity of MSI Thunder Shadow 17 – 99.9 Wh·h, it supports 100W charging. The device configuration includes a Wi-Fi 7 adapter, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, USB-A 3.2 Gen1, RJ-45, HDMI 2.1 and DP. The price of the laptop in the specified configuration – $1410
