The court also ordered the defendants to block access to their website, as well as pay $292,912 to the lawyers who worked on the case.
Activision won the case against the developers of the banned software from EngineOwning, Garnatz Enterprise Ltd, as well as 11 individuals. The proceedings have been ongoing since 2022.
The EngineOwning team was accused of developing and distributing cheats for popular multiplayer games, including Call of Duty.
EngineOwning cheats were available as a subscription priced at €4.49 for three days and €39.95 for three months.
According to Activision, EngineOwning's activities caused “enormous and irreparable damage to [Activision's] reputation” and cost the company a lot of money.
