The first launch will take place in early April

Specialists of the holding «Ruselectronics» successfully completed work on setting up life support systems and the operability of the launch complex for the heavy launch vehicle «Angara-A5» at the Vostochny cosmodrome. As we already wrote, the first flight rocket «Angara-A5» was recently taken to the launch complex, its launch from Vostochny, the first in history, is scheduled for April 6-10.

The test results confirmed the compliance of all installed systems with the stated requirements: they all worked as normal. Among them — automatic control system for technological equipment, warranty power supply systems, television surveillance systems, automatic control system for the preparation and launch of the launch vehicle.

Rockets «Angara» assembled from standardized rocket modules developed on the basis of oxygen-kerosene engines. Space rocket complex «Angara» currently includes launch vehicles of light and heavy classes with a payload range from 2.2 to 27 tons in low orbits, in the future — up to 38 tons thanks to the hydrogen stage being developed.
