The concept car was presented in 2023
Porsche CEO Oliver Blume spoke about the German brand's plans to make a decision on the new all-electric Mission X hypercar within a few months. It will soon become clear whether the model will be put into production. But the model has great chances.
«Through this concept, we have demonstrated the technology we want to put into the car, the performance profile, and the feedback we received at the 75th anniversary celebration was extremely positive, so this is great motivation for us to creating a car», — he said.
Blum added that any such project «must be feasible», while «our goal is always to achieve the maximum level of performance characteristic of Porsche».< /p>
Mission X, which may have a different name when released, is set to be the fastest production Porsche ever built. It will be driven entirely by electricity.
Porsche did not reveal details about the low-slung two-seat show car, which was unveiled in mid-2023, saying only that it uses a four-motor electric powertrain and a 900V electrical architecture.
The total power is reported to be between 1500 and 2000 hp and the weight may be as low as 1500 kg. The Mission X will also be able to charge approximately twice as fast as the Porsche Taycan.
It was previously reported that this particular car broke a new record for the Tesla Model S Plaid on the Nürburgring track, but Porsche has not yet clarified this. The company only stated that if it put into mass production, it will become the fastest production car on the Nürburgring track.
