We selected used vehicles with a quality and reliability rating of at least 80/100 according to JD Power and priced under $6,000 according to Kelley Blue Book fair market value. Most cheap used cars for sale have high mileage, but higher mileage shouldn't put buyers off completely. A high-quality used car should last hundreds of thousands of kilometers without expensive repairs or breakdowns.
The 2008 Ford Taurus topped the list with a reliability rating of 89 points out of a possible 100. This comfortable full-size sedan with a 3.5-liter Duratec V6 engine can now be purchased on the secondary market for an average of $4600-4900 (422.4-449.9 thousand rubles at the current exchange rate). Experts note the high reliability of the model, despite its considerable age.
Second place in the ranking was taken by the 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis with a reliability rating of 88 points. The average price of this American sedan on the secondary market is $5400-5700 (495.9-523.4 thousand rubles).
Completing the top three is the 2007 Toyota Corolla, which also received a high reliability rating of 88 points. For this popular Japanese sedan, current owners earn on average about $5,400 or 495.9 thousand rubles.
