You can quickly create Shorts from an existing video
Google has launched a new useful feature for the YouTube video platform. Now a new editing tool is available to authors creating short videos called Shorts.
The update allows you to change the layout of existing videos when converting them to Shorts, providing more flexibility and control over the final format.

Remember, Shorts — is a short video feature that allows you to create and share 60-second vertical videos. It's similar to TikTok videos. Offers multiple layout options to help highlight specific moments or showcase multiple scenes at once.
Creators can access this feature by clicking the «Remix» on the desired video and selecting «Edit in Shorts». Once you've trimmed the selected video segment, you can click Select Layout to choose from a variety of formats, including single, square, and split screen. The pinch and drag feature allows you to make further adjustments to optimize framing in your chosen layout. Afterwards the layout is saved, and the video can be downloaded.
