The machine has HyperOS installed
At the FIA-approved Zhejiang Motor Speedway, the Xiaomi SU7 Max achieved a lap time of 1 minute 42.163 seconds on Pirelli PZERO 5 tyres. It beat the Taycan Turbo S and Model S Plaid. When the tires were changed to Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R, the lap time was reduced to 1 minute 38.043 seconds, equal to the Lotus Eletre R+.
In the upcoming OTA update, HyperOS 1.1.0 will introduce features such as wireless CarPlay support, remote control parking, city navigation, valet parking (beta) and support for four wearable devices that can be used via NFC as car keys.
Xiaomi does not lose, but earns 5-10% on each Xiaomi SU7 car sold
HyperOS 1.2.0 is scheduled for release at the end of May. The update will add features such as enhanced city navigation (for ten additional cities), improved road surface perception, automatic parking, blind spot detection, adaptive HUD settings and lane keeping assist.
The 2024 Beijing International Automobile Exhibition starts today. At the press conference, Lei Jun, Chairman and CEO of Xiaomi Group, said that Xiaomi SU7 has been ordered by 75,723 people, with 5,781 units shipped as of April 24, in just 28 days.
Lei Jun said that Xiaomi is increasing production of SU7. Deliveries of the Standard and Max versions began on April 18, and the Pro version is scheduled for late May. Xiaomi aims to reach 10,000 monthly shipments by June. The chairman emphasized that Xiaomi has 14 years of manufacturing experience despite being a new entrant as an automaker.
