Wo Long 2 is not included in the developers' plans

Released in March 2023 as a Game Pass premiere, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has amassed around 4 million players, and one would assume that Koei Tecmo is already thinking about a sequel.

But Masakazu Hirayama, producer and director of Wo Long, said that this is not the case:

“At the moment We have no plans to create a sequel, in fiscal year 2023 we are focusing on DLC and updates. Additionally, I feel that the historical period after the one in which Wo Long is set has its own appeal as an era of strategists, and we have the desire to recreate it through action and story. We would like to accept this challenge if such an opportunity arises.”

In an interview, Hirayama did not disown Wo Long 2, but clarified that that after a year of releasing updates and additions, they are not working on a sequel or even thinking about it.
