After Disney pulled the plug on X
Elon Musk said Disney CEO Bob Iger should be «immediately fired» after the world's largest entertainment company joined an advertising boycott of its X platform.
«Walt Disney is rolling over in his grave because of what Bob did to his company, — Musk wrote in a series of tweets. — He should be fired immediately».
Advertisers including Disney, IBM and Apple have suspended their advertising spending on X, which Musk bought for $44 billion last October, after the billionaire supported a tweet blaming Jews people in «hatred of whites».
Last week, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX criticized advertisers who joined the boycott: «Blackmail me with money? Go to hell».
Musk later admitted that it was «possibly the worst and stupidest post he has ever written». Owner X subsequently visited Israel and met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, although they did not discuss this post or anti-Semitism.
