Toyota X-Van prototype was shown last year
As reported by BestCarWeb, Toyota has patented the appearance of the new car in the home market. The image is exactly the same as the Toyota X-Van prototype shown last year at the Tokyo Motor Show.
Apparently, this futuristic model will go into production. But, of course, not now. And perhaps under a different name — like the new generation Toyota Voxy (Voxy — this is a budget version of the Toyota Alphard).
Judging by the fact that the rendering from the patent application fully matches the design of the prototype, Toyota will not change the design and dimensions much. The dimensions of the Toyota X-Van are 4695 x 1820 x 1855 mm, wheelbase length — 2965 mm. That is, X-Van — approximately the size of the current Voxy. The Toyota X-Van has three rows of seats and can seat six people. Design feature — lack of a central pillar, but the production model will most likely have this safety element. But will the production model have huge sliding doors like the prototype, — question, although in the renderings from the patent the doors are exactly like that.
