The decree signed by Putin 7 contains new data on the conditions for import substitution of foreign airliners
7 May Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the national development goals of the Russian Federation for the period until 2030: it states that the share of domestic aircraft in the fleet of Russian airlines by 2030 should be at least 50%. These data stand in stark contrast to what the government had planned for 2023.
So, in the comprehensive program for the development of the Russian aviation industry until 2030, adopted last year, it was stated that already in 2027, 50% of the aircraft in the fleet of Russian airlines will be domestic, and by 2030 the share of Russian equipment should have been 81.8%.
Obviously, the revision of plans is due to the delay in certification of the imported MS-21 and SJ-100. As Rostec previously noted, production versions of these aircraft will appear at best in 2025, and maybe even in 2026.
