Serial production should be established before the end of the year
The operator Rostelecom plans to start using domestic base stations in its network in 2025, said company president Mikhail Oseevsky at SPIEF-2024. According to him, Rostelecom is acting in accordance with its plan — The schedule shows 2025. «There is no doubt that we will launch»,— Oseevsky emphasized.
Earlier we wrote that Rostelecom presented at the CIPR-2024 conference the first completely domestic operator-grade mobile communications base stations. Their manufacturer — subsidiary of Rostelecom LLC «Bulat». Production of a pilot batch of Russian base stations was launched in April 2024, and it is planned to launch serial production by the end of the year.
The equipment will operate in commercial networks of operators in the 450/800/900/1800/2100/2300/2600 MHz bands. At the beginning of this year, field tests of Bulat base stations were successfully completed; tests confirmed the compliance of signal transmission levels with the calculated levels, high quality of mobile voice connections and data transmission.
