There is a crisis in alcohol production at Manor Lords. The developer put to a vote the issue of balancing ale consumption

As I explore Manor Lords, various bugs surface. The community directly influences the development of the game

Manor Lords recently launched in Steam Early Access. The medieval city-planning strategy contains many game mechanics, so it is very problematic to foresee and balance everything at once.

Shortly after launch, Manor Lords players were faced with an “alcohol production crisis.” The fact is that there is El in the game and its consumption is currently calculated as “1 unit” per family per month.

If at low population values this does not seem to be a particular problem, then when reaching 1000 families, players have to ensure the production of 1000 units of Ale, which is considered by some as a “huge burden”.

Manor Lords developer Greg Styczeń decided to put this balance issue to a vote – the community was asked to choose one of the presented options (while the majority chose “A”, the second most popular was “C”):

«A) Just reduce your ale consumption, it's too high.

B) Leave consumption as is, but increase production speed, for example, make 2 or more malts from 1 barley (keep in mind that this will increase the load on logistics)< /em>

C) Make only 2nd level+ families go to the tavern, since for 1st levels it is not is a mandatory condition of residence.

D) Dear developer, you missed a bug, in fact this is not 1 Ale per family per month»
