Apple has released its first sports film shot in the Immersive Video format, giving Apple Vision Pro users the opportunity to experience 180-degree 3D video with spatial audio.
The short film features highlights from the 2023 Major League Soccer Cup playoffs. Apple Vision Pro owners can watch the movie for free on the Apple TV app.
It focuses on the reigning cup champions, the Columbus Crew and LAFC, and is narrated by MLS Season Pass broadcasters Taylor Twellman and Jake Zivin. This film complements other immersive video content available in the app, such as documentaries «Adventure» and «Wild Life».
Apple Vision Pro customers have access to a total of five videos in this format. We can only hope that Apple is working to expand the list of such content.
The headset is expected to go on sale in other countries later this year.
