The voice of Geralt would like to return to the role in The Witcher remake

Actor Doug Cockle, who voiced Geralt of Rivia, is not against working on the upcoming remake of the original The Witcher from CD Projekt.

In an interview, Cockle was asked about his desire to reprise the voice of Geralt not only in The Witcher Remake, but in any future Witcher installment. Cockle replied that he would not refuse such an opportunity, since he enjoys playing Geralt, and collaborating with CD Projekt Red.

“Oh, absolutely. I would love to continue voicing Geralt until I can no longer do voice acting. He became a part of me. I'm happy every time CD Projekt calls me and says, “Hey Doug, you're available for such and such a game?.” And my heart flutters and jumps, and I say: “Yes, of course, I’m ready,” because I love it so much.”

“I'm really excited about this because, if you think about it, when Witcher 1 was made, I recorded the voice in 2005. I think the game itself came out around 2007. It was a long time ago. This was almost 20 years ago. Technology has changed so much. I could be wrong, but my understanding is that they are going to recreate the game in Unreal Engine 5. And it will be very interesting because what they can do with the graphics in Unreal Engine 5 now compared to what they could to do when The Witcher 1 was first created was night and day. It's really exciting.”

CD Projekt has not yet revealed details about The Witcher Remake.
