The Toyota Alphard replacement is officially heading to Russia along with two other new products from GAC

New details have emerged

The Chinese company GAC Motor, known in Russia for the GS5 mid-size crossover and the second-generation GS8 full-size crossover, is preparing to significantly expand its model range. Plans for 2024 include the release of two new crossovers and a minivan.

In the near future, three new Chinese cars will appear on the Russian market. The first of these will be the next-generation compact crossover GAC GS3, which promises attractive design and unique characteristics. Second on the list will be the M8 luxury minivan, replacing the first-generation GN8 model sold in Russia from 2020 to 2022.

But the third car, presented as a mysterious representative of the SUV segment, is of greatest interest. At the moment, details about it are kept secret, but the GAC promises to offer something truly exciting.

The GAC M8 minivan, which is similar to the Toyota Alphard, will be available in three trim levels from March 2024. It is equipped with a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engine producing 252 hp. and is offered on a front-wheel drive platform.

The second generation GAC GS3 is built on the GPMA platform. It received aggressive bumpers, a trapezoidal radiator grille and sharp head optics, as well as a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine with a power of 177 hp. The model is expected to go on sale in the second quarter of 2024.
