Launch tentatively scheduled for April 6-10
Launch of the launch vehicle «Angara-A5» from the newly built launch pad on Vostochny is tentatively scheduled for April 6-10. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a source in the rocket and space industry.
At the end of February it became known that the first ever launch of a heavy rocket «Angara-A5». from the Vostochny Cosmodrome can be carried out in the first ten days of April 2024. This was reported by the General Director of Roscosmos Yuri Borisov.
The heavy Angara had already been launched previously, but all three of these launches took place from the Plesetsk cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk region. The launch in early April will be for «Angara-A5» the first from the East. Last week it was reported that the first flight prototype of the «Angara-A5» for Vostochny is undergoing comprehensive electrical tests, after which it will be ready for docking with the space warhead.
