Russian Citroen C5 Aircross will replace cars imported through parallel imports from China
Official Citroen dealers in Russia will soon have domestically assembled crossovers, the production of which has been launched at the Kaluga plant «PSMA Rus». According to Drom.ru, vehicle type approval for the Russian Citroen C5 Aircross will be received in early April, after which official sales will begin. Gradually, Russian crossovers will displace from showrooms those Citroen C5 Aircross that are currently supplied through parallel imports.
In addition, this year at the PSMA Rus plant Production of the Peugeot 4008 crossover will begin (under this name the European Peugeot 3008 is sold in China). According to Drom, both cars will be assembled using the SKD-4 method, that is, large-scale assembly will be carried out from Chinese components.
And in 2026, compact vans Peugeot Partner and Citroen Berlingo will begin to be assembled in Kaluga, as we have already talked about.
