He spent six months at the station, and now gives way to Progress MS-27
As planned, today, May 28 at 11:39:22 Moscow time, the cargo ship «Progress MS-25» undocked from the small research module «Search» International Space Station (ISS). The ship spent six months as part of the Russian segment of the station: it was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on December 1, 2023 by the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle. and two days later delivered 2.5 tons of cargo to the ISS.
At 14:48 Moscow time, the engine of the Progress MS-25» will engage in braking to bring the ship out of orbit, as a result of which it will enter the atmosphere and collapse. Unburned structural elements should fall in a non-navigable area of the South Pacific Ocean. Already on June 1st for the «Search» module a new cargo ship, Progress MS-27, is scheduled to dock from Baikonur on May 30.
