Chery Tiggo 7 Pro received 5 stars in the ANCAP safety rating
The most popular crossover of the Chery brand on the Russian market received 5 stars according to the crash test results according to the Australian ANCAP standard.
The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro test showed excellent results and a good balance of characteristics according to the latest toughened test criteria for 2023 & 2025.
The car achieved the following results:
- 88% — adult occupant protection;
- 87% — protection of child passengers;
- 72% — protection of pedestrians, motorcyclists, cyclists;
- 86% — security systems.
Passenger safety is ensured by airbags, as well as a load-bearing body frame, the elements of which are not subject to deformation during frontal collisions.
The car is equipped with Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Keeping System (LSS), Lane Departure Prevention (LKA), Lane Keeping Assist (ELK), and Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM). Tests of the AEB (Car-to-Car) system showed good results: in all cases, a collision was avoided or mitigated. The crossover performed well in lane keeping, emergency braking in traffic jams and at intersections.
Since 2023, the “Rescue and Evacuation” section has appeared in the list of ANCAP tests. Additional points are awarded for opening doors and windows when submerged in water, as well as for windows operating smoothly or for having a window-breaking device. Of the nine cars assessed by ANCAP this year, three demonstrated effective window opening performance, including the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro.
