BYD has already officially announced the new Song L DM-i crossover — it should receive a fifth-generation DM-i hybrid system, providing a range of over 2,000 km. When will the full premiere take place with the disclosure of all technical details — it is unknown, but the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Trade has already said something about the efficiency of the new product.

The BYD Song L DM-i powertrain includes a 1.5-liter engine with a capacity of 100 hp and an electric motor with a capacity of 218 hp, the capacity of the traction battery is 18.316 or 26.593 kWh. The range on pure electricity is, respectively, 91 or 128 km, fuel consumption is 4.95 or 4.98 l/100 km.

The dimensions of the BYD Song L DM-i are 4780 x 1898 x 1670 mm (wheelbase is 2782 mm), the maximum weight is 2375 kg.
