Interestingly, the car will go on sale under a different brand.
According to the Chinese Cars resource, Kaliningrad-based Avtotor has assembled the first batch of JMC Vigus SUVs with a pickup body. Sales will start in December, but the car will be sold under a different brand (JMC has banned sales of this car in Russia under its own brand).
The volume of the first batch has not been announced. A total of 650 cars will be assembled, and the future fate of the Vigus, apparently, will be determined by how well it sells.
According to the price list from August of this year, Vigus will cost 2.999 million rubles. The car will be offered in a single configuration with a 2.5-liter diesel engine producing 128 hp, a 6-speed manual transmission and all-wheel drive. The length of the car is 5345 mm, the wheelbase is 3085 mm.
Vigus will be sold at 35 dealership centers in 15 cities of Russia. The cars will also be sold in Belarus and, possibly, in Kazakhstan.
