During CES 2024, the Wi-Fi Alliance announced the start certification of Wi-Fi 7 devices. Lack of certification does not mean that the device will not work. However, the certification indicates that it operates within the standard's specifications and is therefore compatible with other Wi-Fi devices.

The Wi-Fi Alliance has a searchable database of certified devices. Some iconic devices have been certified to comply with the new standard. Moreover, we are talking not only about recently announced new products, but also about devices existing on the market. For example, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone supports Wi-Fi 7 thanks to the Qualcomm FastConnect 7800 module, which is now certified for the new standard. However, Samsung has not yet activated this feature. Qualcomm says its communications module is capable of delivering 5.8 Gbps throughput (with a compatible router and a fast enough Internet connection).

Many laptops that will be released this year will provide support for Wi-Fi 7. At CES 2024, various models were announced equipped with the Intel BE200 certified network card. For example, it is available in the new Razer Blade 16 and, according to Intel, the BE200 provides 5.8 Gbps throughput in the 6 GHz frequency range.

Also available on the market are a couple of consumer routers with certified Wi-Fi 7 support: the TP-Link Deco BE85 and Archer BE800. The Archer BE800 is a tri-band router with two 10Gbps ports and two 2.5Gbps ports. It is also Wi-Fi EasyMesh compatible and can work with any other EasyMesh router. The Deco BE85 is a dedicated mesh router that uses only TP-Link's patented mesh technology. The prices of such devices are still quite high. The Deco BE85 two-pack costs $999.99, and the Archer BE800 costs $599.99.
