The Citroen C5 Aircross produced in Russia received a new design – it was turned into a special car for VAI

Kaluga Citroen C5 Aircross is being converted into a special vehicle by the Ulyanovsk company Avtodom

Produced in Russia at the «PSMA Rus» plant in Kaluga, the Citroën C5 Aircross was recently included in the list of cars recommended for officials, and now it has tried on a new version for itself: the Ulyanovsk company «Avtodom» turned the C5 Aircross into a special vehicle for the Military Traffic Inspectorate (VAI).

Such a car was shown at the exhibition «Expotechnoguard-2024» in Moscow. Differences from the serial C5 Aircross — in blue and white livery and special equipment. VAI vehicles are used to ensure safety during the movement of troops on public roads.

In terms of technology, the special vehicle has everything standard: a 1.6-liter gasoline turbo engine with a power of 175 hp, an 8-speed «automatic» and front-wheel drive.
