Saying goodbye to Nissan's signature V-shaped grille
The prototype of the new generation Nissan Murano appeared in tests. Even though the car is «wrapped» in camouflage, it is clear that the car will receive a completely new front end design without the characteristic V-Motion grille: instead there will be horizontal slats that will go into the headlights — like the new Nissan Kicks. The crossover will also receive new mirrors on legs.
The rear is also completely new — this applies to the trunk lid, bumper, and lights with reflectors.
We managed to photograph the crossover inside, and here is a radically different, more modern interior with a panel of screens. The media system will support Google services. Ventilation holes — in the spirit of Ariya deflectors. You can also note a large volume control and a climate control unit with regular keys.
The new generation Nissan Murano is credited with the D-platform platform on which the Nissan Pathfinder and Infiniti QX60 are built. According to preliminary data, the crossover will lose its naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 engine — instead, a turbocharged four-cylinder engine will be installed. And the CVT will be replaced with a nine-speed automatic. The official premiere of the new Murano is expected by the end of this year.
