The 24-core Intel Core i9-14900KS was overclocked to 9.1 GHz, and this is a new record

Only the core voltage had to be increased to 1.85 V

The previous Intel processor overclocking record (in October, the Core i9-14900KF reached 9044 MHz) has been broken: the Asus ROG overclocking team overclocked the latest 24-core Core i9-14900KS to 9117 MHz.

The experiment involved the ROG Maximus Z790 Apex Encore motherboard and, of course, a cooling system based on liquid nitrogen was used. Without liquid nitrogen, it would hardly be possible to cool a CPU with a core voltage of 1.85 V. The minimum temperature was −231 °C. The CPU worked at a frequency of 9117.75 MHz.

24-ядерный Intel Core i9-14900KS разогнали до 9,1 ГГц, и это новый рекорд

In addition to the absolute frequency record, Asus ROG overclockers set three records: PiFast — 6.79 s, SuperPI 1M — 3.768 s, PYPrime 32B — 97.596 s.
