Tele2, a Russian mobile operator, announced the completion of the construction of its own LTE network on the M-12 & Vostok toll highway, connecting the Moscow, Vladimir and Nizhny Novgorod regions, Chuvashia and Tatarstan. The company notes that stable voice communications and high-speed mobile Internet from Moscow to Kazan are now available on the toll highway.

The operator installed 80 new base stations and upgraded equipment at existing base station sites along the route. In addition, 20 antenna mast structures were erected in the Republic of Chuvashia to install cellular communication equipment of all operators. Now Tele2 has begun preparing the construction of tower infrastructure on new sections of the expressway — in the Perm Territory and Sverdlovsk Region.
