This is a complete PCIe 7.0 IP solution, including a controller, IDE security module, PHY
There are no consumer graphics cards with PCIe 5.0 on the market yet, except for the products of the Chinese company Moore Threads, and Synopsys today has already announced the world's first PCIe 7.0 IP solution.
The company says it is the industry's only end-to-end PCIe 7.0 IP solution that includes controller, IDE security module, PHY. It provides data transfer speeds up to 512 GB/s.
Synopsys IP solution with PCIe 7.0, including controller, IDE security module, PHY and IP verification, reduces integration risk for AI and HPC network chips. The IP solution, compatible with evolving standards, improves interconnect power efficiency by up to 50% and delivers twice the interconnect throughput in the same chip perimeter compared to previous PCIe generations. The Synopsys PCIe 7.0 IP controller provides low-latency, high-bandwidth links and a complete end-to-root solution that supports all the necessary features for backwards compatibility. Synopsys PCIe 7.0 PHY IP provides superior signal integrity with speeds of up to 128 Gbps per lane and seamlessly integrates with Synopsys CXL Controller IP solutions. Synopsys Integrity and Data Encryption (IDE) Security IP for PCIe 7.0 provides confidentiality, integrity, and replay protection against hardware-based attacks. Synopsys PCIe 7.0 IP verification and hardware verification solutions offer built-in protocol verifications and various controller and physical layer configurations to speed verification and verification completion.
Of course, this is not a consumer solution, but even in other segments PCIe 7.0 has yet to appear. As for the Synopsys product, it will become available to customers in early 2025.
