The lower edge of the left wing of the Superjet was damaged
The Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ-100) passenger aircraft was damaged in the parking lot of St. Petersburg Pulkovo Airport as a result of another aircraft crashing into it.
As the press service of Rossiya Airlines reported, the incident occurred on the evening of June 7. The SSJ-100 was damaged by a Bombardier Global Express, which was flying to Sheremetyevo. The lower edge of the left wing of the «Superjet» was hit by the winglet of the aircraft.
«The plane has been grounded. An investigation into the incident is underway», — indicated in the press service, adding that the airport continued to operate as normal.
«We confirm what happened. A private aircraft, while being towed by an airport employee, hit an SSJ-100 aircraft. Damage to both sides is minor. There were no injuries», — added at the airport.
