In an interview, Shift Up game director Kim Hyun-Tae spoke about the approach. The industry needs more diversity, he said, which is why single-player games are critical to survival.

The game director has made similar statements before, but the latest interview underscores his commitment to the genre. According to him, Shift Up intends to create complete games.

“Shift Up will continue to challenge single-player games.”

Interestingly, the developer has already started hiring for his next project. Shift Up has also confirmed that a sequel to Stellar Blade will be possible if there is a request for a sequel after the first game's release.
